1. If you try to schedule an activity at a time when you already have one planned, the Helper Series will alert you of the conflict
2. For Sales Manager searches, you can use wildcards
with any type of field (text, date, currency) in a search. A "%" searches for any match regardless of position and a "?" finds matches specific to a position
3. You can specify a default address to use when
creating new contacts. Setup the default address from the Tools | Contact Manager Preferences menu in the Contact Manager
4. You can send bulk emails to lists of clients from
the Sales Manager. After creating a sales list, select the Actions | Email List menu. All contacts in your list who have valid email address will be included in the email.
5. For the contact, account, and product lookup windows, you can control the amount of time after which searches begin when you
finish typing. Select the Contact Manager preferences from the Options menu and enter the number of seconds desired in the "Dynamic Search Updating" box. You can even turn off Dynamic Search Updating by unchecking the box from the preferences screen. When turned off you will press the Start button to begin the lookup.
6. For network systems, you can flag a reminder as
private. When flagged, other users who look at your schedule will see that you have an item planned for a certain time but they will not be able to read you description of the activity, only you can. To mark a reminder as private, check the Private box from the Ownership folder on the Add/Edit reminder window.
7. You can click your right-mouse button on a date or time field to popup a date/time window for selecting dates and times.
8. You can enter a date x number of days from now by
entering a plus sign and then the number of days. For example, entering "+7" will enter a date one week from today.
9. You can control the schedule presentation
intervals (start time, end time, and interval) by selecting the Options | Schedule of Events menu.
10. You can add auto-recurring reminders
that will automatically display at designated times, like every Friday. To do so, select the Recurrence folder when creating a new reminder.
11. You can click your right-mouse button on an account or product field (like on the Posting window) to popup a
search window for selecting accounts and products.
12. You can backup and compress your data periodically from the Data Manager program incuded with your Helper Series
software title.
